ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Through a strong collaboration with Redding residents, central office, school adminstration/staff, together we have:
Demonstrated agility and delivered education during the COVID-19 pandemic and obtained necessary funding
Safely returned students to the classroom and were able to bring back in person events (graduation, prom) to our students
Continued specialized offerings to reflect the different interests of our students (Arts, Music, AP, World Language, athletics, extracurricular, etc.)
Evaluated the curriculum and resources over a multi year period through 2025 to determine how delivery will evolve with enrollment
Enhanced programs to support the social emotional needs for our students
Supported diversity and inclusion work at Barlow
Barlow was ranked as #16 of all high schools in CT and in the top 4% of high schools in the US
Returned funds to the taxpayers in 2020 and 2021
Participated in the negotiating committee that secured a three-year contract that manages taxpayer resources and retains our teaching talent
Collaborated with the community, families, central office, Barlow staff to appoint new superintendent and head of school
Support continued effort/exploration with ER9 boards to find efficient ways to govern within the structure of three legal districts (i.e. concurrent committee meetings, joint committees/task force)
